Release Date Pending....

Everyone keeps asking me when my book will be out ... and I wish I had an answer. Soon is about the best I can do.

Since I'm new to the whole epub thing, I don't have a good gauge for how long everything will take. I'm currently in the midst of revisions and I hope to have those done within the next two weeks. Then there's formatting and other things that need to be done before I can release the book.

Some of you are really excited to read it - which makes me really excited too!!!! And maybe a little scared....

I'm going to keep you updated on everything I'm doing. But, for now, I'm mired in revisions.

Thanks for hanging out with me for a few minutes!

Megg

  1. Hello! I'm Fionn Jameson, kind of newly arrived in St. Charles IL and just happened to past by your blog via FB. Yay for networking! =)

Revisions are always very, very tough. I've been doing it professionally (or getting money for it, anyways) since 2004 and I don't think it gets any easier. The only way it can be called "easier" is that you know you've done it before and hence, theoretically, you can do it again!

Cover looks great and I'll be sure to drop by every once in a while!

  2. Ah, the magic and confusion of revision...I too am living there right now.

I am new to your blog so when you say you are epublishing, were you picked up by and epublisher, or are you taking the giant step of self publishing?
I ask because I have three ebooks published by Guardian Angel Publishing.
    Ok back to revision. Aargh!

  3. Hi Fionn, it's great to meet you too. Revision is actually one of my favorite parts of writing. It's tedious, but fun. :-)

Pen and Ink, thanks so much for stopping by! I am epublishing with DarkSide publishing, a collective of indie authors. www.darksidepublishing.com.

  4. Hi, Megg. I *swear* I'm not stalking you. Just catching up via the Google Reader feed. And THIS post is a relief to read. I'm now where you were a month ago. Figuring out the schedule to get everything done, and done well, is maddening! I've hired a formatter because I'm a chicken when it comes to that stuff, and my appointment isn't until March 10. Which feels like a bazillion miles away. (But then what? Scary!) Thanks for the help thus far. I'm glad that you found me. You and your friends have been amazing already, and it's only been, like, two whole hours! Yay, Internet!

  5. Jenn = STALKER! ;) Haha!

I told you, we all have to help each other out. And yes, my friends are awesome. We all have the same goals and need to share info otherwise we'll all be big failures. No one wants that!
